Gait and running analysis training

An intensive exchange for specialist circles: a look back at successful seminar days at zebris.

Alec Guiness once said:

"Gait and posture reveal more than the face."

We at zebris can only agree with him. And the 30 participants who met at our premises in Isny on the first weekend of April surely share our opinion after two seminar days. Because during these days, a groundbreaking training session titled "Gait Analysis and Gait Therapy in (Sports) Orthopedics" took place, in which 30 representatives from the fields of orthopedics, physiotherapy, sports medicine, movement sciences, and gait research received profound insights into the theory and practice of movement analysis.

The seminar, designed for both newcomers and experienced practitioners, offered a comprehensive introduction to the biomechanical basics of standing, walking, and running. A particular focus was on using the innovative zebris FDM system. The participants learned how to efficiently collect, analyze, and evaluate data from patients or clients to make informed therapy recommendations or to create perfectly adapted aids.

The speakers of the training

The speakers, "gait luminary" Prof. Dr. Thomas Jöllenbeck and M.Sc. Rica Gerdesmeyer, inspired with practice-oriented case studies and profound insights into their many years of research work.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Jöllenbeck heads the Institute for Biomechanics at the Klinik Lindenplatz in Bad Sassendorf, Germany. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Paderborn and a member of the working group on psychology and movement there. He also conducts research in movement science in the areas of movement analysis, biomechanics, and motor learning in sports, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and prevention.

With more than 1,100 gait analyses per year, he and Rica Gerdesmeyer bring impressive expertise to the seminar, enabling the participants to gain valuable knowledge and practical skills for their work.

Stefan Lehnen, co-organizer of the event and international sales manager at zebris, was thrilled with the positive response: "This seminar is an important contribution to further education in the field of gait analysis in orthopedics. We are proud that we can make a significant contribution to improving patient care with the zebris FDM system."

We say THANK YOU!

The zebris Medical GmbH would like to thank all participants for their commitment and the speakers for their valuable contribution to the success of the event.
