Good news for the 1st International Canine Gait Summit 2024: six renowned experts have confirmed their participation. These outstanding speakers from the fields of zoology, orthopedics and rehabilitation offer valuable insights into the latest research and treatment methods related to dog gait analysis.

Prof. Dr. Dr. H. c. Martin S. Fischer
Prof. Fischer is a leading zoologist and evolutionary biologist known worldwide for his work on canine locomotion. He heads the Institute of Zoology at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and has provided important insights into veterinary medicine through the "Jena Study on Dog Locomotion".
Dr. Daniel Koch
An expert in joint surgery and orthopedics. Dr. Koch has conducted extensive research on brachycephalic syndromes and knee problems in dogs. He is the author of an important orthopedic examination course and brings sound clinical experience to the event.
PD Dr. Barbara Bockstahler
Dr. Bockstahler is a leading specialist in physical therapy and rehabilitation for dogs. She heads the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Vienna and specializes in biomechanics and gait analysis.
Dr. Kirsten Häusler
With a strong focus on animal rehabilitation, Dr. Häusler is a recognized expert in this field. Her work combines ethology and veterinary medicine to develop optimal therapeutic approaches for dogs after operations or illnesses.
Dr. Birgit Lidolt
Dr. Lidolt runs a small animal practice in Salzburg with a focus on orthopedic treatments. Her expertise lies in the movement analysis of dogs, incorporating the latest scientific findings into her work.
Prof. Dr. Susanne Lauer
Prof. Dr. Lauer has established an extensive physical therapy program for small animals and is an expert in kinematic and kinetic gait analysis. At the LMU Munich she researches innovative therapy methods for dogs and cats.

Event details
The International Canine Gait Summit 2024 will take place on November 2nd, 2024, in Isny im Allgäu and online via Zoom.
This hybrid event offers experts and interested parties the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in gait analysis and the treatment of gait disorders in dogs. The lectures will be simultaneously translated and recorded in German and English. Participants will receive the recordings as a professionally edited film.
