The zebris Technology
zebris Medical GmbH
understands itself as a supplier of complete solutions for a wide range of
measuring tasks and indications in the field of biomechanics. The three key
technologies mainly applied here are 3D ultrasonic movement analysis,
force-distribution measurement and myography. Simple handling, high mobility
and flexibility are the main characteristics of our measuring systems. All the
measuring results are displayed in real time on the PC whereby the synchronized
presentation of all the signal sources is possible, of course.
3D real-time movement
analysis
For the 3D movement
analysis or localization, systems have been developed that enable a precise
tracking of the measuring markers. The measuring principle is based on
measuring the travel time of ultrasound pulses. The system is fast and
unproblematic in its application, without requiring any calibrating or
adjusting at all. The zebris® System is ideal for application in routine
operation - also as a mobile measuring station. Application auxiliaries have
been developed for the various different measuring tasks. A probe-tip is
available for determining surface profiles. In addition, all the movement data
can be recorded and analyzed synchronously with the video recordings.
Force-distribution
measurement
zebris is leading
in the development of capacitive sensor equipment for measuring pressure and/or
force distribution. The characteristic features of the zebris measuring systems
for force distribution are its user friendliness and simple operation, high
measuring precision due to its calibrated sensors and the particularly large
sensor surfaces which also enable step cycles to be recorded.
Myography
The EMG Systems developed by zebris form an ideal supplementation to the
movement analysis and force-distribution measurement. The EMG activity of small
and large muscles can be detected precisely and reliably. All the potential of
muscular action can be recorded and evaluated synchronously to the movement
data of other zebris measuring systems.
